I am an interaction designer, storyteller, and visual designer living in Pittsburgh with my wonderful wife and toddler.
Over the last 16 years I have helped design and launch software that helps people manage their diabetes, maintain chemical plants, train global workforces in human-centered design, and even turn soda cans into musical instruments.
I began undergraduate studies with the goal of becoming an editorial cartoonist—but everything changed when I found Beatrice Warde’s Crystal Goblet essay, and I became obsessed with typography, and design systems.
I was raised in a small mountain town in Colorado by a general contractor and a special education teacher.
I’ve learned most of what I know by taking things apart and putting them back together, and from the kindness and support of great mentors.
If you’ve got time, I’d take a minute to read more about what I do, otherwise you might just want to jump to my work.
